Terry N Varnado

Born August 6, 1946 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was the son of Marvin Novell Varnado and Mildred Pauline Garrett. Mr. Varnado was a graduate of Southern State College and a retired insurance agent from Farm Bureau in Union County.

Mr. Varnado was a member of First United Methodist Church of Norphlet. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening. While teaching at Smackover and Norphlet schools. He also served as a football coach and during the 1975-76 season, his team earned the state runner-up title.

Preceding him in death was his father and his son, Victor Novell Varnado.

Survivors include his mother, Polly Garrett Varnado; daughter, Kristi Steelman (Kris) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; a sister, Billie Gathright of Strong, Arkansas, 2 grandsons, Grant and Garrett Steelman; a niece and nephew, Kila Gonazales and Clint Gathright; and 7 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Young's Funeral Directors Chapel Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 10:00-11:00am. Services will immediately follow visitation. Cremation services entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.
