Syble Juanita Thomas

She was retired from the Smackover Public School System, where she served as the Secretary to the Superintendent for 25 years. Syble was a member of First Baptist Church of Smackover, Arkansas. She enjoyed painting, fishing, reading, and loving on her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arch and Lula Moreland, and her sister Ollie Mae Sturdivant.

Left to cherish her memory, the love of her life of 70 years, Tommy Thomas; sons Mike Thomas and wife Peggie of Haughton, LA, Glenn Thomas and wife Sue of Smackover, AR; grandchildren Staci Thomas, Brent Thomas and wife Beth of Haughton, LA, Kerri Briggs and husband Anthony, Kevin Thomas and wife Stephanie of Smackover AR; great grandchildren Haylee and Trevor Thomas of Haughton, LA, Rebecca and Kennedy Briggs, Cooper Thurman and Colton Thomas all of Smackover, AR; and special niece Janet Richardson of Monroe, LA.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1st , from 6:00-8:00 PM at Young’s Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Smackover, AR.

Memorials may be made to the Smackover Public Schools Library Fund or to First Baptist Church of Smackover Family Life Center Building Fund.
