Born on July 29, 1980 in El Dorado, Stacy is the daughter of Ricky Ball and Tonya Walker Ball. After obtaining her undergraduate degree from UCA and later her masters from SAU; Stacy began her career in education. First in the El Dorado School District at Northwest Elementary and later as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for the Smackover- Norphlet School District. Stacy loved children and was devoted to their care and education. Stacy was an active member of Bible Baptist Church. Stacy loved caring for and being with her family; whether they were doing crafts, sewing or in the outdoors enjoying hunting, fishing and four wheeling. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Jim Bob Walker and paternal grandparents James E Ball and George and Eloise Glover.
Survivors are her husband David Wayne Slater, daughters Gabriella Blaine Slater and Delilah Raine Slater, a son Walker Delane Slater, a nephew Clayton Jorge Brown, all of Norphlet, her parents Ricky and Tonya Ball of El Dorado, a sister Carla (David) Brown of Blue Eye, MO, a brother Richard Allen Ball of El Dorado, maternal grandmother and step-grandfather Jim and Betty Bullard of Church Point, LA, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 4 pm to 8 pm at Bible Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at The First Assembly of God Church El Dorado with Rev J.D. Weido officiating. Live streaming available the day of services at eldoradoag.com. Pallbearers are Damon Goodwin, Eric Goodwin, Stanley Fitzgerald, Kevin Smith, Heath Jerry and Bo Andrews. Interment will follow at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by Young’s Funeral Directors.
