He was born April 17, 1935 in Junction City, LA to Isaac Alfred Brinker and Maude Williamson Brinker. Sidney enjoyed the challenges of being a steward of the land. He enjoyed collecting antique Ford cars and parts. As part of his love for cars, Sidney looked forward to making the trip to the annual car show at Petit Jean Mountain. Sidney will be missed by his friends that spent many an afternoon discussing cars and what was going on around town.
Preceding him in death are his parents and wife of 44 years, Eugenia Yocum Brinker and the mother of his children.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Brinker; two daughters, Carol Brinker Williams (Tony) of Junction City and Cindy Brinker McNeely (Doug) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Jana Diane Gates (David), Jenny Suzanne Williams both of Junction City, Rolan Hayes McNeely and Morgan Claire McNeely both of Little Rock; great granddaughter, Lexie Ann Gates of Junction City and stepsons, Scott Davis of Junction City and Michael Hall of Hopkinsville, KY.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City with Rev. Bruce Murphy officiating and under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Directors.
