Shirley Geraldine Jordan

Born April 5, 1929, in Fountain Hill, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Walter William Gifford and Sarah Elizabeth Shelton Gifford. She was a member of LaPile Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved to be a mother and be with her grandkids, also loved playing the guitar and doing garden work.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sons, Lyndal Jackson, Jr., Ronnie Jackson, Lloyd Jackson, and Ricky Jackson; sisters, Ozie Berry, Ruby Tomerlin, Iva Sawyer, Artie Bryant; and brother, Carl Gifford.

Survivors include sons, Jerry Jackson and his wife Judy of Monroe, Louisiana, Roger Jackson and his wife, Fannie of Camden, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Young’s Chapel with Carl Hart officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday, May 25, 2012, at the funeral home.
