He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Griffin and Eugenia (Hosford) Griffin, his sister, Julie Griffin Trimble.
Survivors are a brother, Tommy Griffin of El Dorado, AR, a niece, Ann Elizabeth Trimble of El Dorado, AR; and nephew John Dyer “Jack” Trimble VI, of Fayetteville, AR, and his extended family on the Griffin and Hosford sides.
A life-long resident of El Dorado, he graduated from El Dorado High School in 1969, attended North Texas State University, and graduated from Oil Belt Vocational Technical School in 1975. His great loves were Volvos, all Arkansas Razorback sports, the music of John Hiatt, science fiction, his family’s dog, “Skeeter,” comedians George Carlin and Jeff Dunham, Ruthie’s chocolate pie, and mama’s chili dogs.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.
