Reeca Barr Crumpler Davidson

Born January 17, 1927 in Olden, Texas she was the daughter of Albert B. and Nellie A. Hall Barr. Mrs. Davidson had a lengthy work career including over 32 years as an executive assistant at Cross Oil and Refining in Smackover. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Smackover.

Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her parents; her first love, husband Smead Mitchell Crumpler, Jr.; and many years later, her second love, Fred J. Davidson, Jr. She was also preceded by her brother, Harold L. Barr; sister, Audrie R. Myers; Fred’s son, Fred J. Davidson III and special friend, Richard Clawson.

Mrs. Davidson's survivors include daughters, Kenna Williams (Garry), Janet Chenoweth (David) all of Smackover, Lynda Davidson Smith (Tom) of Pflugerville, TX and Diann Davidson Haile (Joey) of El Dorado.

Surviving grandchildren and their families are: Matthew Williams (Jessica) of Camden and their children, Mason, Maddox, and Beau Williams, Aaden McMurry, Riley Born and Maddex Jones; Mitchell Chenoweth (Kallie) of Louann and their daughter Ema Chenoweth; Lea West (Chad) of Magnolia and their children, Grayson, Georgia and Levi West; Jeff Williams (Missy) of El Dorado and their children, Taylor (Emily), Courtney, and Wilson; Kristi Williams of Smackover and her children, Leta (Kurt), Jeffrey (Brendan) and Kelly (Paul). Also surviving are the children of Lynda and Diann; Sean, Alicia (Bernave), and Bonnie along with Fred, III's son, Chase Davidson.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 at First United Methodist Church in Smackover at 1:00 p.m., with service following at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Robin Roark will officiate. Interment will follow in Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
