R.C. Brown, Jr., 81, of El Dorado, passed away, Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Baptist Medical Health Center in Little Rock. He was born February 17, 1937 to Robert Clarence Brown, Sr. and Sallie Brown in El Dorado, AR.
He retired from Lion Oil, Co., after 30 plus years as an E/I supervisor. While an hourly employee he was active in the IOUE #381 serving in several different positions. R.C. loved spending time with his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and working except on Saturday while the Razorbacks were playing. R.C. loved the Lord and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death are his parents; four half-brothers, J.B. Honeycutt, H.F. Box, Lester Box, Chester Box; and daughter, Cynthia Ellyn Brown Saulsbury.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Martha Strickland Brown; son, Robert C. "Trey" Brown III (Sonya); sister, Nellie Brown McDonald all of El Dorado; two grandchildren, Robert "Quade" Brown, IV, Gage Brown, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Young's.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Young's Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Meek and Rev. Eddie Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
Serving as pallbearers are Gage Brown, Robert 'Quade' Brown IV, Kenny Bridges, Doyle Barentine, Pete Tompkins, and Jerry Faulkner. Honorary pallbearers are David Hendricks, Gerald Cameron and Craig Martindale Jr.
