Mary Jane was born to Lavon and Sadie Furman (later Powell) and raised in the Caledonia community of Union County, AR. She, graduated from Junction City High School in 1961 and within a short time married Amos Reynolds of Hampton, AR. They would have two children, Donald and Paul. Both of whom she was extremely proud.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lavon and Sadie Furman, husbands Amos Reynolds and Bennie Patterson, and brother Eugene Furman. Mary led a full life, enjoy crafting, travel, her church, ministering to others, volunteer work, and carrying for others as an in-home health-care nurse. Over the years she worked at B&C Grocery, McDonalds, JC Penney’s, Bolt & Screw Supply, and the Area Council on Aging.
Mary Jane is survived by her younger brother, Clyde Furman and his wife Diane of Whitehall, AR, son Don Reynolds of Northglenn, Co, son Paul Reynolds of Fayetteville, AR, and granddaughters Katelyn Reynolds and Sarah Reynolds-Hays of Fayetteville, AR.
In her final years she was watched over by her neighbors in her community off of 19th Street before her move to Courtyard Health and Rehab of El Dorado. Her family cannot express their gratitude for the compassion and care she received from the entire staff at Courtyard.
Visitation will be at Young’s Funeral Home in El Dorado between 5:00 and 7:00 on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, and a brief graveside service will be held at 1:00 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens on Hwy 335.
