Born September 12, 1939 in Bernice, Louisiana she was the daughter of George Wesley and Mary Elizabeth Oaks Miller. Mrs. Mercier was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband, Frank Wayne Mercier, brothers and sisters, George Miller, Fanny Nelson, Virginia Miller and Larue Ruby along with grandson, Danny Joe Armstrong, a great grandson, Ryan Osgood and great-great grandson, Jackson George.
Survivors include her children, Eliska and Chester Welch of Spearsville, LA, Louise and Robert Curry, George Byrnside, Jammie and Thomas Johnson, Marsha and Ray Sowyers, and John and Crystal Byrnside all of El Dorado. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Young's. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
