Mary Hazel Freeman

Mary Hazel Freeman, 102, of Mount Holly, passed away, Monday, September 23, 2013, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born September 20, 1911, to Ked Lee and Henrietta Braswell Davis in Mount Holly, AR.

She was a member of the Mount Holly Community Church for 86 years, and she was a homemaker. Hazel enjoyed cooking and being a part of the women of the church.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, James Henry Freeman; four brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Davis Freeman (Linda) of Mount Holly, James Michael Freeman (Louise) of McKinney, TX; sister, Jane Nesbit of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Wade Freeman, Cathy Jones, Candace Tisdell, Carey Haynes, and Stephanie Krolak; and eight great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Timberland Nursing Home for their loving care for six years.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, at the Mount Holly Community Church with Rev. Jimmy Burkes and Dr. Jack Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery near Mount Holly under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
