Mary H Ballard

Mary Helen Ballard, age 82, of El Dorado, Arkansas, and formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023. Mary was born on February 7, 1941 to BJ and Annie Lee Ballard in Huttig, Arkansas. She was raised in Strong, Arkansas until she relocated to Virginia at the age of 18. It was then Mary began working for the FBI, where she remained until 1996 when she retired early and settled in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mary was a devout Catholic who devoted much of her time to the church, spending time with family and friends, and rescuing animals. In her lifetime she traveled the world, made countless memories, and always returned with stories to share of her adventures.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Jerry Ballard.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Debra Ballard; a nephew, Benjamin Ballard; and a niece, Talitha Ballard, all of El Dorado; and a host of cousins and friends.

The family will gather at Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery in Strong, Arkansas on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate the memory of Mary.
