She was born on August 22, 1958 to Clarence Curtis and Frances Elaine Chidester Crippin in Danville, IL. Marilyn was a homemaker, who loved cats, traveling and shopping. Marilyn had a caring spirit and helped many especially translating spanish.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, William Howard Reed; and sister, Doris Kay Wilson.
Survivors include her children, Boni Elaine Acuna, Viviana Acuna, Elma Kay Acuna (Eugenio Zuniga) all of El Dorado, Ernesto Acuna of Edinburg, TX, George Acuna (Sarai) of Progreso, TX, Grace Medina (Gustavo) of El Dorado; brothers, Danny Crippin of Clarksburg, WV, Gary Crippin of Kingwood,WV, John Crippin (Donna) of Tunnelton, WV; sister, Starlet Crippin of Morgantown, WV; half-brother, Dennis Stahler (Lauren) of Colorado Springs, CO; half-sister, Karrie Fitzsimmons of Danville, IL; 22 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 30, 2023 evening from 5 pm to 8 pm at Youngs Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Young's Chapel with Rev. John Spencer officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
