Born on December 2, 1941 in Three Creeks Community; he was the son of John Malcolm Rogers and Willie Douglas Rogers.
He was a veteran of the United State Army. Lloyd retired from Great Lakes Chemical in 2004 after 30 plus years in the store room to practice his passion of farming and caring for his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He was a member of Three Creeks Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening, raising cattle, and was a very good cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Wayne, Paul, Donald, John and Preston Rogers; his sisters, Frances Greer, Louise Griffith, Frankie Meadows, Carolyn Burton, and Janette Blackmon; granddaughter, Emma Faith New.
Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Rita Frame Rogers of Junction City; daughter; Nancy New and husband Keith of Three Creeks; son, Chris Rogers and wife Amanda of Three Creeks; brother, Maurice Rogers of Downsville, LA; grandchildren, Reese Rogers, River Rogers, Wyatt New, Emery New, Claire Minter, Logan Hudgins, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of special friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Three Creeks Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday at Three Creeks Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Three Creeks Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
