Lisa Michelle Burton (Meme), 56 of El Dorado, AR, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her home. She was born on July 16, 1962 to Cary Joe and Karen Sue Lowrey Hall in Jonesboro, LA at Lincoln Parish Hospital.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her beloved husband of 28 years, Robert Burton of El Dorado; her only child, her pride and joy, Amanda Waller (Shane) of El Dorado; her sister, Mona Bridges (Terry) of Magnolia; her brother, Joseph Hall of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Brooke Dees, Jaxson Dees, Emma Dees, Drew Waller (Katie), Kaylin Waller, expecting her first great-grandchild, Ashton Andrew Waller; and a host of nieces and nephews along with her “other daughter”, Kimmie Brock and her best friend/sister, Monique Murphy. She never met a stranger, to know her was definitely to love her.
Lisa had a 36-year career in nursing, but there is no way that one word could ever sum up her work. She was definitely put on this earth to care for and to love others. Her selfless, loving nature was extended to EVERYONE in her path. She had that magic smile and soft touch that made everyone around her feel so special and loved. She had an indescribable love for her family which extended so much further than just blood relatives. She was SO VERY proud every day of her daughter and her grandchildren, they were definitely her pride and joy. She also shared almost the same love for “her Razorbacks”, a fair-weather fan she was not! Don’t mess with her Razorbacks or her Cowboys, things would get serious quick!
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at Youngs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Youngs Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cliff Preston officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Holly Cemetery under the direction of Young’s at a later date.
Lisa would want each of you here to make sure and spend time with your children, your loved ones, take a long walk on the beach and truly treasure your friendships. Never judge anyone, “You are not defined by your past.”. “God is good all the time”.
Memorials may be made to Union County Animal Protection Society (UCAPS), 1000 Sunset Rd, El Dorado, AR 71730.
An online registry will be available at www.youngsfuneralhome.com.
