She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Ray Smith; three brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Tew and her husband, James Tew, Sr. of Haughton, LA, Ruby Maples and her husband, Alvin Maples of El Dorado; one sister, Helen Porterfield of Sheridan, AR; three grandchildren, Janet Meyers and her husband David of Fort Worth, TX, James Tew, Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Panama City, FL, Michael Tew and his wife, Deb of Dallas, TX; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Alan Womack officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the church.
