He was a 1960 graduate of McRae High School. Larry married Alice Marie Bradford on July 4, 1963. Over the years, he was employed by Southern Extrusions, Hamilton Plant in Macedonia, RL Fowler Trucking, and ARCO Oil and Gas. He surrendered to the ministry and served as pastor at Wares Chapel and Bethel United Methodist Church. He took early retirement from ARCO to become a full-time minister to Westside United Methodist Church, Bell Chapel, Missouri and Red Hill United Methodist Church in Camden.
Larry was a member of Mt. Holly Community Church. He enjoyed being a mechanic, plumbing etc, from his shop at home. Preaching, fishing, and camping were his hobbies. He lived a full life of fun and loving his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Buff and Pearl Bradford; siblings, Alice Kay Goza, Marie Davis, Marzee Gentry, L.D. Goza; brother-in-laws, R.L. Davis, Grover Darden, Howard Gentry; sister-in-law, Bobbie Goza; brother-in-law Robert Nash; nephews, Bill Goza and Bud Darden.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Alice Goza, daughter, Janet Warren (Rick); grandchildren, Josh Warren and Caitlin Sherman (Casey); great grandchildren and the light of his life, Braylee Tillson, Mayzleigh, Lynnleigh and Renleigh Sherman; siblings, Peggy Darden, Linda Nash; a special friend, James Welch, Don Lampkin; his camping friends, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the Arkansas Heart Hospital for their care and concern.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Mt. Holly Community Church. Funeral services will immediately follow with Rev. Chuck Bennett officiating.
