Joseph Stark

He was born September 16, 1926 in Lakeland, FL to Xavier Stark and Zora Alderman Stark. Before retiring, Joe worked for 38 years as a Quality Control Inspector for the Air Force in Oklahoma City and with Bell Helicopter in Ft. Worth, TX. He was raised by St. Joseph's Orphanage in Bethany, OK, and served in the Navy during WWII on the LST 1007 in the Pacific. Joe was a member of Martin Mill Baptist Church in Texas. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners fan and he loved woodworking, politics and FOX News.

Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother Frank Stark.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years , Wilma Herriman Stark; daughters, Kathy Beasley (Tom) of El Dorado, Betty Berry (Stuart) of Atlanta, GA and Beverly Stark of Hurst, TX; a son, Michael Stark of Newburg, MO; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX on Saturday, January 10, 2015 an hour prior to services at 10 AM with Rev. Matt Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Memories Memorial Park. Local arrangements are through Young’s Funeral Directors.
