Joe Michael Carroll

He was a life-long member of Sycamore Grove Church of Christ. Joe Michael graduated from El Dorado high School in 1967. He then went on to the University of Arkansas at Monticello for Architectural Design. he began his career with the Arkansas Highway Dept. and designed Roadside Tourist Information Rest Areas. Joe Michael worked in Little Rock with the Cromwell Firm, in El Dorado with John Abbott and T. G. Connelly and in Camden with John Sanders Architectural Firm. Because he loved the outdoors so much he decided to take his knowledge of design and begin working in the construction field. He worked with Hargett Construction of El Dorado and Ideal Construction in Crossett before venturing out and building his own architectural design and construction company with his family, MCGC. A total of 43 years in the business. He enjoyed fishing with his kids and grandson, and loved his animals.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his mother-in-law, Emma Jane Crow Davis and father -in-law Paul Crow; and nephew, Caleb Carroll.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Toni Crow Carroll of El Dorado; daughter, Maleece Carroll Digby (Jackie) of Frisco, TX; son, Heath Carroll (Tonya) of Camden, AR; brothers, Steve Carroll, Tim Carroll both of El Dorado; grandson, Jaxon Digby of Frisco, TX; sister-in-law, Ginnie Daniels; brother-in-law, Wayne Crow; aunts, Pat Carroll Roberts ( Dr. James) of Krum TX ,Tootsie Haile, Melba Pugh all of El Dorado; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2017,at Young's Funeral Directors, with John Ware and Terry Ware officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sycamore Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
