Joanna Kay Jones

She was born November 2, 1952, in Houston, TX to James Jimmie Jones and Sharon Love Jones. Jody worked as a supply manager at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, AR. She was a member of Parkers Chapel Methodist Church and the Chemo Angels Inc.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and two nephews, Little George Alton McGaugh, Jr., and Gerald Houston (Skip) Moore, IV.

Survivors include her son, Jeromy Givens of Hammond, LA; her daughter, Heather Lynn Winer and her husband Keith of Norphlet; sisters, Peggy Sue Jones Towery and husband Neal of Beaufort, SC and Colleen Christianson and her husband Greg of Austin, TX, Cathleen Graham of Jacksonville, AR; a half sister, Linda Cox of Iowa; grandsons, Eliah & Ethan Winer and Urijah Givens and a special friend, Tony Robbins of Hot Springs.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Parkers Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Steve Moss officiating and under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at the funeral home.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Rose Duke, Cherie Hill, Brook Jones, Christopher McGaugh, and Barbara Stone.

The family will be at 110 Kaitlin Lane, behind 108 W. Hayes in Norphlet.
