Jimmie was born July 5, 1938 in Carthage, Texas, to Harry Richard Hull and Epsey Lee Abernathy Hull. She was a well-loved nurse in the emergency room at the local hospital for many years and finished her career in local doctors’ offices. She was a follower of Christ, embodied a strong work ethic, was loyal to her job and family, and offered true friendship to her loved ones throughout her life.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her sister, Betty Jane Hull Taylor, her brother, Stephen Hull, and her beloved husband of nearly 59 years, Sim Charles Rhodes, whom she has longed to be with since his passing.
Survivors include two sons Chuck Rhodes (Jennifer) of El Dorado and Clint Rhodes (Jennifer) of El Dorado. Also surviving are her sister, Jeannine Hull of Texarkana, TX, and her brother, Harry Hull of Strong. Surviving grandchildren are Carli DeNoon (Jonathan) of El Dorado, Caden Rhodes of Conway, Loren Rhodes of Grants, NM, Jared Rhodes of Magnolia, and two great-grandchildren, Nathaniel DeNoon and Fletcher DeNoon. Jimmie was a second mother to several nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.
Jimmie was full of love and made sure to tell others every chance she could get, no matter if you were a dear friend or a telemarketer. She was an artist and a crafter, always creating for others. She was so proud of her boys, whether it was their grades, sports, or whoever had caught the biggest fish. She was the matriarch of the Rhodes family, the glue that held everyone together, and the one to call when you needed advice.
