Jeffery Franklin “JT” Teague II, of Junction City, slipped away from us August 18, 2023. Born June 6, 1989, he lived in Walnut Ridge 11 months before moving to El Dorado. He became a Christian and was baptized as a child. A natural athlete and outdoorsman, JT earned an Accounting/Finance degree at SAU. His job “walking in the woods” with F&W Forestry thrilled him. JT loved his family very much.
JT moved to Montana for three years and rode his bike 900 miles cross country. He loved hunting, fishing with friends, and camping, with annual brother hikes and family camping trips. He asked little of life and wrestled with the demons of mental illness courageously. He could be such a silly joker than none would believe the silent, secret battles with depression he endured.
Survivors are his son, Atlas Keane Teague, fiancée Lindsay Spooner, stepdaughter Nora Dixon, parents Jeff and Sarah Teague, brothers Justin and David (Sara), and a much loved and loving multitude of uncles, aunts, cousins, step grandmothers.
Pallbearers: Matt Peace, Eric Sumner, and cousins Mark and Michael Allison, Gordon Williams, and Jake Shell. Al Gray is honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be 6:30-8:00 pm Thursday, August 24 at Young’s. Services will be at 10:30 am Friday, Aug. 25, First Baptist, El Dorado. Graveside (following service and family lunch) Lakeside Cemetery, Stamps under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
You may honor JT's life with a donation to the Atlas Teague Scholarship at Citizen's Bank, 655 St. Louis Street, Batesville, AR 72501.
