Jeanann Rowland

She was born October 19, 1964, in Little Rock and spent her life in El Dorado. Jeanann was the daughter of Jack Wright, with whom she remained especially close until his passing in 2006, and Ann Wright, who she loved dearly, gladly devoting her time the last several years to serving as a caregiver. Mrs. Rowland was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Jeanann was widely known for her quick wit and hearty laugh, even through adversities she faced in life. Her fun and free spirit came paired with unconditional empathy and love for those around her – whether family, friends, or strangers. She loved to entertain and cook with family and friends, as well as garden and care for animals.

Her sons Brian and Chris were her pride and joy. She cherished celebrating graduations, holidays, and birthdays with them. Jeanann loved spending time calling and texting to check in on them when unable see them in person. No one crossed her path without hearing of their accomplishments.

Jeanann married her adoring husband Ricky on August 8, 1998, and they enjoyed many fond moments together making a home in Parkers Chapel. They fought side-by-side during her too-brief battle with cancer.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Clyde Rowland and her mother, Ethel Ann Sands Wright both of El Dorado. Also surviving are two sons, Christopher Mark Morgan of Washington, D.C. and Brian Daniel Morgan of Batesville, AR, along with a brother, Berry Wright (Sharon) of Tampa, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the First Church of God on Mosby Street, officiated by Brother Johnny Johnstone. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

A reception for family and friends will be held at the Church immediately following the interment.
