Born January 19, 1923 in Ada Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Wilbert and Maybell Fletcher Bounds. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in El Dorado. During her lifetime, she worked in the Personnel Department of Warner Brown Hospital and as a program manager for KELD. She was a homemaker for the past 43 years. She was an avid Duplicate Bridge player and a member of The Perennial Garden Club.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Henry Gatling Gilliam; and adoptive parents Rena and George Tillery and their son, George Tillery, Jr.
Survivors include a nephew, Carl Tillery, two step-daughters, Diane Gilliam Murfee (Mickey) of El Dorado and Patricia Gilliam Linder (Mark) of Bowling Green, KY; and the Murfee and Linder children, Molly Katherine Murfee, Mary Amanda Murfee, Christopher Gatling Linder (Gabriella), Ellen Linder Henry (Charlie), Benjamin Westbrook Linder (Valerie) and five Linder grandchildren.
The family would like to thank those who took such excellent care of Dot during her final illness: her housekeeper of 50 years, Ada Ruth Burtch, Sharon Watts, Mondee Hall, Terrie Powell, Shirlene Berry, Almeda Henderson, Yashika Lyons, Mary Daniel, the staffs at JRW Hospice House and Superior Senior Care, Robin Thornton, Joe Hickey and Larry Holder.
A Requiem Eucharist will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 21 at St Mary's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Charles Chapman officiating. A reception and visitation will be held immediately following the service in the Parish Hall. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
