Dorothy returned to school at the age of 45 to obtain her license as a LPN and worked at the Medical Center of South Arkansas for 35 years. She was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church, the Quilt Guild, Homemakers and the Home Extension Club.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Frank Edward Martisek; and daughter, Glenda Martisek.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra M. Hargis (Cal), Debbie Glass (Jerry) both of El Dorado; two sons Randy Martisek (Olla) of El Dorado, Kenneth Martisek (Michelle) of Smackover, AR; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Hargis (Brooke) of El Dorado, Sarah Lovette (Jeremy) of Humble, TX, Susan Walsworth (Josh) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Jay Glass (Elizabeth) of El Dorado, Rhonda Mason (Jason) of Spearsville, LA, Douglas Martisek (Jennifer) of El Dorado, Jason Martisek (Christina) of El Dorado, Bethany Gee (Jared) of Weatherford, TX, Jonathan Martisek of Conway, AR, Christopher Martisek of Conway, AR; nine great grandchildren; and one soon to be great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Young’s.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Wyatt Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Attebery officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
