Wayne Arnold, 82, of Smackover, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the South Arkansas Regional Hospital in El Dorado. He was born June 15, 1941 to Robert Lee "Buster" and Dorothy Garner Arnold in El Dorado, AR.
He was a self-employed road boring contractor and a member of Joyce City Baptist Church. Wayne enjoyed working on old equipment.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Shirley Arnold of Smackover; daughter, Debbie Murray (Tim) of Parkers Chapel; sons, Scotty Arnold (Sheila) of Smackover, Jon Arnold (Katie) of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Robertson (Rex), Brent Murray, Leigh-Ann Robertson (Billy), Trisha Rogers, Kieran Arnold; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Robert LeRoy Arnold; sisters, Anita Arnold, Kay Ashbrook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2023 at Smackover Cemetery under the directions of Young's Funeral Directors.
