Danny Louis Price, 76, of Hinesville, GA, passed away on May 17, 2024. He was born on December 10, 1947, in Lillie, LA. A 23-year decorated Veteran of the United States Army having proudly served in both the Vietnam and Gulf War. He was a devoted husband, father, and “Opa” who was adored by all, including his beloved pup, Zoëy.
Danny was a simple yet one-of-a-kind man who cherished life and had a natural gift for storytelling. He found joy in reading newspapers and magazines, collecting various unique items, and embarking on road trips. He had a deep love for country music, turquoise, rodeos, and Western culture.
Danny is survived by his wife, Christa Price, his children Tina Antonio, Melanie and Brian Sheridan, Michelle and Travis Kohlhof, Dewayne and Lillian Price, Jeffrey and Lauren Price, as well as his grandchildren Samuel Voorhees, Landon Price, Jason Kohlhof, Ella Price, Claire Price, and Dylan Price. He is also survived by his brother Pete Harrell and sister Donna Harrell.
He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Harrell, a brother George Kidd, and his son Danny Ray Price.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 2:00pm at Young’s Chapel, 508 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, AR 71730. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church Cemetery in Spearsville, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School at give.stjo.org
