Clara D. Flournoy

Born April 2, 1921 in Union County, Arkansas she was the daughter of Samuel Tyre and Annie Mae Armer Daniels. Mrs. Flournoy was a bookkeeper and a one time employee of First United Methodist Church of El Dorado.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband, James Daulton Flournoy and a sister Audrey Faye Daniels.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Durwood Flournoy of Mayfield, KY and James Thomas Flournoy of Splendora, TX. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jenifer Flournoy, James Flournoy, Sheri Selph and Daniel Flournoy and two great-grandchildren, Clarissa “C.J.” Crow and Eden Selph.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Bethel Primitive Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Jim Polk officiating with interment to follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

The family will receive friends at Young’s from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon on Thursday prior to the service.
