Charles H. Spooner

Born January 30, 1928 in Junction City, he was the son of Tom and Anna Rhodes Spooner, who preceded him in death. Mr. Spooner had retired from Monsanto Chemical Corp after 49 years’ service. Charles had served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Junction City.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Dorothy Wilson Spooner of Junction City, two daughters, Melanie Morrison (Bart) of Jonesboro, AR, and LaWanda Wiles (Rob) of Scottsdale, AZ along with a son Eddie Stepp (Susie) of Junction City, LA. Charles is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren along with numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Junction City with Rod Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Scotland Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Director.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Young’s.
