Charles Pyle, 83, of El Dorado, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at home. He was born on March 28, 1941, to Alfred and Blanche Inez Davis Pyle in El Dorado, AR. He was of Baptist faith and was a member of Joyce City Baptist Church.
After graduating high school, Charles began working as a machinist. In 1969, Charles went into business for himself, which led to owning and operating Specialty Machine and Tool Co. The fact that Charles maintained ties with his customers and employees for decades--the longest of which being over fifty years--is evidence of his greatness as a man. An honest day's work and a fair price for quality were important to Charles. He viewed his customers and employees as friends and family, which increased the measure of his integrity and kindness.
After meeting the love of his life, Jo Ann, in 1976, he decided to spend the rest of his life being a loving husband to her. He also resolved to extend his role beyond that of a stepfather and grew into a wonderful and supportive Daddy to her son Kevin. He excitedly welcomed each new addition to the family with unwavering love, and he took tremendous pride and joy in being a grandfather.
Charles had various interests, from hunting and fishing to calling the Hogs and watching Westerns. However, his true passion was helping others. He possessed a unique talent for recognizing the best in people and was always ready to provide the support they needed to succeed. His generosity, mentorship, and love touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact.
Charles will be remembered for many things: his bright blue eyes, his broad smile, his sense of humor, his solid advice, his integrity, and the work that he did with his hands. But may he be remembered for his generosity and love of others, which exemplified his love for Christ.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brothers William and Tommy Pyle, and sisters Martha Smith, Cecile Camp, and Louise Fimple.
The people left cherishing his memory are his wife, Jo Ann Pyle; son, Kevin Young (Jaimie); grandchildren, Konner, Aiden, Michael, and Lily; sisters, Linda Calk and Polly Oliver; brother, Donald Pyle; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday April 12, 2024 in Young's Chapel, with the funeral service immediately following with Joe Willet officiating. A private burial, under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors, will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Health Well Foundation.
