Charles Edward Bailey

Charles Edward Bailey, 64 of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at his residence. He was born April 7, 1951, to Ross and Dorothy Marie Shelton Bailey in Oak Grove, LA. He worked for Milam Construction for several years as a carpenter, before becoming disabled.

Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Michael Shayne Bailey, daughter, Sherry Lynette Bailey; two brothers, Danny Bailey, Ross Bailey; and sister, Christine Nale.

Survivors include his daughter, Becky Haynes (Kevin) of El Dorado; son, Chase Sterling of Norway; two brothers, Robert Bailey (Terry) of Hot Springs, Billy Wayne Bailey (Becky) of Farmerville, LA; sister, Doris Boles of Simsboro, LA; grandchildren , Brianna Lynn Hall (Russell) of El Dorado; Zachary Gage Haynes of El Dorado, Erin and Amber Bailey, Colton and Larkyn Bailey, and great grandson Matthew Craig Hall. Also life-long friend and companion, Bobbye Sue McEntire of Hampton.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015, at Young’s Chapel with Bro. Tommy Boles officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
