Cecilia Marie Smith

Cecilia Marie (Clawson) Smith, 80, of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. She was born on December 9, 1941, to Cecil Wesley Clawson and Laura Marie Langley in El Dorado, Arkansas.

She was the owner of E/I Technical Services, a Pink Lady at Warner Brown Hospital, Secretary/Treasurer at Bethel Cemetery, and a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, as well as an avid painter, seamstress, and musician.

Preceding her in death are her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Leon Smith; daughter, Angelia Marie Purvis (Bill); son, Jonathan Wesley Smith; grandchildren, Brook Marie (Purvis), Terrell (Edward), Joshua Thomas Purvis (Camille), Laura Lee Purvis, Joseph Westley Smith, Hanna Laura Smith, and one pre-born great grandson due in late October.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Young's Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 2 starting 11:00 a.m. at Young's Chapel. Dr. Bobby Sparks of Greenville, Texas will be officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
