She was born on August 21, 1954, to Coleman and Helen Phillips McRae in DeQueen, AR. Cathy was a member of College Avenue Church of Christ and found fulfillment as a homemaker.
For over 50 years, Cathy shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Mike, creating a foundation of strength and support that defined their journey together. Their bond was a testament to commitment, weathering the years with unwavering devotion.
A beacon of love and support, Cathy found immense joy in the presence of her grandchildren. Her dedication went beyond attendance at their extracurricular activities; she was a pillar of encouragement, a source of wisdom, and an unwavering supporter of their dreams. Whether cheering from the sidelines or offering a comforting presence, her love for her grandchildren was a guiding light in their lives.
Cathy's simple pleasures included camping and fishing with her husband, Mike. These quiet moments in nature were treasured times that strengthened their connection and created enduring memories.
A devoted member of her community, Cathy dedicated her time to her church, where she discovered fulfillment in volunteering in the church’s sewing room. She also spent many years of her life serving in various capacities for Camp Kurios (Christian Youth Camp). Camp was near and dear to her heart.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and sister, Peggy McRae.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Meadows, sons, Alan Meadows (Cynthia), Clint Meadows (Tiffany) all of El Dorado, brother, James McRae of DeQueen, AR; sisters, Lola Lawrence of Horatio, AR, and Sylvia McDonald (Frank) of Foreman, AR; along with grandchildren, Caroline, Caden, Carly, and Tate Meadows.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2023, at College Avenue Church of Christ Family Life Center with Kent Jobe officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
