Brent Austin Moore

Brent enjoyed gardening, but he also had become pretty good at making some delicious fig preserves and jellies. His Grandmother taught him how to make and preserve them and later on he started his own business called Backyard Gardens. He had an impressive assortment of jelly flavors which he sold online, at the Farmers Market in El Dorado, Main Street Antiques in El Dorado and the Hen's Nest Antiques in Smackover. He was among the very first of the original vendors at the MAD Farmers Market in El Dorado. Brent had a special place in his heart for his Grandmother and was so happy cooking with her and spending time with her learning about canning and gardening.

As a young boy, Brent became a big WWF Wrestling fan. He enjoyed watching the events on TV and learning all the wrestling moves. This was enjoyable for him, but not always for his younger brother whom he would practice them on.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Lankford Cheatham, Donald Ray Moore, Barbara and Troy Pierce, and Aunt, Cindy Albritton.

Brent is survived by his mother, Rita Smith (Bubba), father, Donald Glenn Moore (Joy), Grandmother, Lorene Cheatham, Brother, Justin Moore (Lindsey), Half-sister, Rachel Hardin, Uncles, Roger Cheatham and Jud Albritton, along with Great Aunts and Great Uncles and numerous cousins.

A special thanks goes out to Jeri and John Ratcliff for all their love and support to Brent, whom he thought so much of.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Smackover, 500 West 7th, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Smackover Cemetery, East 14th Street in Smackover, AR under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 500 West 7th St., Smackover, AR 71762.
