Bobby was a veteran and served in South Korea on the DMZ. He also worked as an area supervisor for the Holsum Bread Company and Sunbeam Bread Company. He was an avid reader of anything having to do with World War II history. Bobby was a member of the First Baptist Church in Norphlet.
Preceding him in death are his parents; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Watson; and a baby daughter, Kimberly.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lilla Atkinson Watson; three sons, David Watson (Lori), Jason Watson (Amy), Richard Watson; daughter Karen Ray (Keith); granddaughters, Amanda Jones, Jordan Watson, and Hannah D. Wiggins; grandsons, Daniel Watson, Ethan Watson, Jacob Watson, Keith Ray, and Billy Ray; and great granddaughters, Jade, Laci, Haley, and Dakoda. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Young’s.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Doug Wills officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
The family will be at 2393 Pershing Hwy. in Smackover.
