Betty Betty Boop E Tuberville Burgess

Betty E. Burgess, 77 of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. She was born August 13, 1937, to Harvey L. and Esther A. Tuberville in Sparkman, AR.

She attended Green Grove Assembly of God and was retired from the Medical Center of South Arkansas where she worked as a PBX Operator for 33 years.

Preceding her in death are her parents; brother, J.D. Tuberville; and sister, Margrette Birchfield.

Survivors include her three daughters, Sheila Stegall (Jesse), Brenda McLelland, Teresa Murry (Benny) all of El Dorado; five grandchildren, Kristin Warren (Bobby) Jessika Walters (Josh), Paul Purifoy (Meagan), Katie Roberson, Kris Stegall (Jackie); sister Dorothy Files (S.T.); thirteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. tonight at Young’s.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Sardis Cemetery in Pine Grove, AR under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Terry Burke and Rev. Paul Purifoy officiating.
