Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William B. “Bill” Rogers, Sr., her parents, her daughter-in-law Valerie Rogers, many beloved cousins, and her best friend and sister in Christ, Mildred Rogers.
Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Hampton High School, where she was Valedictorian of her class. Barbara accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age at the Hampton United Methodist Church. Barbara was a charter Member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a member of the Builder’s Sunday School Class and the Annie Lee Bolding Morning Glories Circle. She also served on the Administrative Board of St. Paul. She was a member of the Robert Rosamond Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution where she served as Secretary. She was an accomplished seamstress who dressed ladies In El Dorado for years. Many former schoolchildren remember her from her many hours of volunteer work in their classrooms. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary or illness and sent many cards to friends and loved ones over the years.
Barbara is survived by her children, Bryan Rogers of North Little Rock, Jeff Rogers (Laura) of El Dorado, Laurie Norris (Steve) of New Orleans, and Julie Pettitt (Todd) of North Little Rock. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tyler Rogers (Stacie), Tanner Rogers (Cassie), Mary-Christa McLelland (Taylor), Brianne Eberline (Ben), Matt Norris, Corey Ardwin, Tyler Anglin (Stacia), Tara Wright (Daniel), Connie Pettitt and Carlee Pettitt Koenig (Zane) and her great-grandchildren Mckinzie Rogers, Ella Rogers, Wesley Eberline, Vincent Ardwin, Lilith Ardwin, Easton Anglin, Adeline Anglin, Oakley Anglin, Connor Wright, Harrison Wright and Beckett Wright. She is also survived by three beloved cousins, Elizabeth Lewis, Gene Stringfellow and Charles Barfell.
The family is so grateful and thankful for Lynne Cameron, who has faithfully been by Barbara’s side for the last 4 years. The family would also like to thank the staff of Arbor Hospice, Dr Larry Braden, Tessa Monk, Marilyn Harris and Pearlie Smith for the extraordinary care they have provided over the last several months.
Entombment service will be held at Campground Cemetery in Hampton, Arkansas on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10 am. Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon in St. Paul Methodist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas with Rev. Mary Spencer Depper and Rev. John Mark Moore officiating.
Pallbearers are Tyler Rogers, Tanner Rogers, Matt Norris, Ben Eberline, Taylor McLelland, Corey Ardwin, Tyler Anglin and Daniel Wright.
