Anita R. Ware, age 93, of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's while surrounded by her daughters, sister, and Hudson staff members.
Anita was born in Fouke, Arkansas, on February 23, 1930, to Morris Wheeler Robertson and Connie Kazetta Guthrie Robertson. She graduated from New Boston Texas High School. When she moved to El Dorado to live with her aunt and uncle, she met the love of her life, Ferrell Ware, at church. She worked as a bookkeeper for Arkansas Specialty Company after raising their three daughters.
She is preceded in death by parents; and her husband, Ferrell Ware; and her brother, Wyndell Robertson.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Nancy Bailey (David), Angela Heid (Dave), and Daphna Campbell (Chuck); grandchildren, Sarah Novick (John), Joel Bailey (Sarah), Micah Bailey (Allison), Whitney Beyer (Matt), Kalyn Heid, Brett Campbell, and Kelsey Campbell; great grandchildren, Jackson, Grace, Anna, and Zoey Bailey and Everett and Brooks Beyer. Also, her brother, Jim Robertson (Ruth), and sisters, Elaine Meadows and Annette Fisher (Ron), and sister-in-law, Marie Robertson.
Anita was a true servant of God who loved to sew, cook, and entertain family and friends. She was a charter member of Hillsboro St. Church of Christ where she served as a Sunday school teacher and elders wife. Her life was devoted to caring for others, and she continued her concern for others even during her long Alzheimer's journey.
The family would like to thank Carolyn Merritt and the staff of Hudson Nursing Home for their devoted care of Anita.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Hillsboro St. Church of Christ with visitation one hour prior to the service. Services will be conducted by Ken Stegall and her sons-in-law. She will be laid to rest next to her love in Bethel Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
