I know this is years after, but I think of Steve often. I was very close to him and his family. I loved him dearly and always will. Grand Funk forever, Steve!  I know how much his children meant to him. So to you - "Your dad was the best."

Steve was one of my best friends his son Spencer was on the West hills football team with my son Ryan I'm going to miss my friend I just now found out about it I'll see you up in heaven my friend I used to help him around the house and clean the carpets for him for many years

RIP Steve. He was like a big teddy bear. So sorry to read about his passing.  Prayers to his sons, daughter and family.

Steve and I were very good friends during his mid life times. We played football together at Twin Cities Cougars. We did a road trip to Twin Cities from San Diego. We would scream as if we were scared to death...to keep each other awake ....during the trip! We also thought of becoming Big Time Wresters. We met Andre the Giant...The Iron Shiek ...and others. My goodness...i was shocked to see he passed! I have checked for him over the years...but sadly....did not reconnect. He was one of my best friends in my entire life! I know he was a painter for San Diego School District. That was the last I heard. To his children ...please know he was a dedicated friend! He was light hearted ....for such a big man. He had a great sense of humor...as I am sure you know. He was like a brother to me. I feel close to the pain you feel. He was a loving and great soul. The world is a lesser place without him. Bless my big brother...and your family. With great regret and love...Brian

I worked with Steve for many years.  I consider him a good friend and will miss him very much.  RIP Steve.


I went to High School with Steve, I thought he was the nicest guy and had some fun times. To his family I’m sorry for your loss, many prayers to you, may he Rest In Peace. 🙏🙏😒
