I remember being invited to my FIRST sales rally he was the announcer!He made me feel so welcomed and supported everyone at the credit union! I Will always remember your huge smile! Also all the crazy costumes you’d come in for Halloween! I also remember one time my mom and I ran into Roberto at Disneyland and he stopped us and said oh hi! He was in his ears and pins and all! Thank you for all you’ve done for me, the credit union and you will truly be missed! 

It still seems surreal that Roberto is not here with us. He’s someone that I’ve looked up to  and respected as my Leader at Cal Coast.  He could fill up a room with joy with his personality and big smile. It was such a pleasure to have worked for Roberto. He used to give me a hard time saying that we were rivals because I went to Chula Vista HS and he went to Castle Park.  God Bless The Lopez Family and he is missed by all.

I met Bert through family friends and over the years, cane to know him as a very personable man, who always exuded a warm and welcoming demeanor.  He showed a deep regard for his family as well as to those who may have been around him. A real gentleman.  We will miss his charm and grace. 

The world has lost one of the good guys. In the years I worked with him,  Roberto  always presented himself in a positive and professional manner-a tough challenge when dealing with Human Resources issues.  I appreciated his partnership during a time when we were solving many such issues.

Roberto was also well known and loved for his commitment to celebrate others' accomplishments in unique and fun ways.  He knew that for me, it was always about the pie, usually lemon meringue. On my last day at work at the credit union, on a crazy and emotional day for me, there was Roberto walking me to my car with pie.

I will never have a piece of lemon meringue pie without thinking of you, my friend.  May you be staging the biggest celebration ever in heaven.

Roberto had always supported my professional growth at Cal Coast, and I’m forever grateful for it. I just wish I had expressed my gratitude to him when I had the chance. 

His passion for financial education rubbed off on me, and those that worked with him closely knew how much he enjoyed making an impact through volunteerism. I’m not only honored to have worked with him, I’m honored to have known him. He was caring, kind, and demanded the very best from us— because he believed in us.

May the Lopez family stay strong during this difficult time, and just know that we’re all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. 

Roberto touched the hearts of so many people. I will forever cherish and never forget his strong faith in God, the deep love he had for his family, and the sincere friendship we shared for 19 years. Rest in Peace Roberto. I will miss you and your beautiful smile and uplifting personality. 

Both my Mom and I worked with Roberto.   I will never forget his infectious smile and how supportive he was to me during my Mom's fight with cancer.  Everytime we passed in the hall Roberto would tell me "give mom a hug for me".  When I heard that he joined my Mom in heaven all I could think was now he can give my Mom a hug for me.  I hold Maggie and the kids close in my heart and pray for them daily!  Rest in Peace my friend.

The best portion of a good man’s life is his little nameless unremembered acts of kindness and of love.  You will be sorely missed RoLo. Thank you for your kindness, guidance and laughter. May God treat you as kindly as you have done with everyone whom you crossed paths. RIP 

Roberto was one of the first people I met at Cal Coast Credit Union, we became fast friends.  Even when I moved back to the East Coast we kept in touch, and whenever I came back to San Diego he always made time for lunch with me.  I will miss his great smile and his infectious laugh.  He was truly a great person.  The world has lost a bright light. My thoughts and prayers are with Maggie, Arron and Quincy.  

Roberto was always someone who cared and respected others. He has left us with so many wonderful memories and made a difference in the lives of many, more than he will ever know. His charisma and charming smile will always be remembered. My deepest sympathy to Maggie, Aaron and Quincey, his family as well as the Cal Coast family who truly loved and will miss him. Thank you for being a leader in life, family and faith. You have positively changed the lives of many. May you Rest In Peace, Roberto.
