Robert Joseph Triplett

Robert is survived by his spouse, Monica Triplett, of 62 years, Daughter Cheryl Alexander (Frank), Son Mark Triplett (Sally), 9 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, Siblings: Belva Ray, and Bonnie Triplett, Patty Rogers, Ronnie Triplett, Ernest Triplett, Penny Sundberg & Vince Triplett, and several niece's, nephews, and sister in-laws. Robert is preceded in death by Parents Leo & Margaret Triplett, and Brothers Byron Triplett, and Lonnie Triplett.

Robert attended Catholic School in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. While in High School Robert played football. He ensured that Mark, Cheryl, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren received most of the holy sacraments and were taught these sacraments to express and strengthen their faith.

Robert served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1961, completing seaman training and a certified electronic technician 3. He also did 1 year and 6 months of foreign and sea service. He loved America, and the American Flag. Robert worked at General Dianamics – worked on the Atlas Missile, later he worked for Caltrans and retired after 38 years. He had a degree in Engineering.

Robert was in the Boy Scouts of America for 54 years. He loved Canoeing, Camping, Hiking, Water Skiing, Scuba Diving, Gardening, History books, Theatre, & Especially The Phantom of The Opera. He was a great cook! “Never trust a Skinny cook”.. During the Holidays Robert loved to make Dinner Rolls, Sweet Poppy, and Sweet Nut Rolls.

In the last week of Robert’s life here on earth he received the last rights and was anointed with oil for the sick and dying. This made him feel good.

A rosary service for Robert will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 from 9:45 AM to 10:15 AM at Guardian of Angels Catholic Church, 9310 Dalehurst Rd, Santee, CA 92071. Following the rosary service will be a Mass from 10:30am-11:30am. Reception from 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM, and Burial at Miramar National Cemetery 5795 Nobel Dr. San Diego, CA 92122 at 2:15pm.
