Robert is survived by son Donald Greg Ruff of Lakeside, California; daughter Kimberly Denise Ruff-Hale (Michael) of Lakeside, California; daughter Dana Louise Fennessy (Michael); son Michael John Fennessy (Bay) of San Diego, California; son Christopher Todd Ruff of Lakeside, California; brother Steven "Bruce" Ruff of Dehesa, California; and sister Carol Barger of Dehesa, California.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Louise Ruff; father George Ruff; mother Martha Jane Ruff; brother Larry Ruff
Robert is survived by 8 grandchildren, Kayla Correia, Amanda Ruff, Samantha Ruff, Tyler Ruff, Emily Ruff, Meghan Fennessy, Sean Fennessy, and Kaitlyn Poe.
A memorial service and celebration of life for Robert will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the residence of Kim Ruff-Hale and Michael Hale: Please text Chris @ (619)339-7502 for the address; text only please.
Attire: Please don't feel the need to dress in formal attire; "business-casual" will be sufficient, preferably with some vibrant colors. This is a celebration of Robert's life, one should dress accordingly.
In lieu of flowers, please instead, make donations in Robert's name to his favorite charities: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
A meal will be available following the service.
As a disclaimer, we would expect all guests to wear some form of facial mask and practice social distancing as strictly as possible during your visit to Michael and Kim's home. Its possible that several of our guests could be categorized as "high risk" for the Covid-19 virus, protecting them is a high priority.
Finally, it was Robert's strong opinion that attendance to funerals/memorials/celebrations of life are a personal decision for any potential guests. No matter the reasons, there will be no offense taken by the family, should one decide not to attend the service.
