Robert J Franc

Robert died peacefully at the age of 91 with his wife of 12 years, Veronica by his side. He was born in Dunmore, PA. At a very young age his family moved to San Diego where he remained a resident for the remainder of his life. He graduated from St. Augustine High School and received his BA degree from St. Mary's College. He served in the Navy during WWII. He worked as an Electrical Engineer at Covair and General Dynamics. He also worked at Independent Tax Counselors where he was President. He was a special Eucharistic Minister and Lector at Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church as well as a long term member of the Knights of Columbus Fraternity.

He led a full and active life and his most loved hobbies included flying his Cessna airplane, playing golf, horse racing, miniature trains, and painting in water color. He married his first wife, now deceased, Helen Avellar, and they had five children. He is survived by his sons David, Phillip, Kevin, Mark and daughters Roberta, as well as nine grandchildren and two great grandsons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Grace at 1:00pm on Monday, November 12, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations mat be sent to Father Joe's Villages.
