Richard Brent Kirkman

July 6, 1963-October 4, 2019

Richard, a San Diego native, passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 4, 2019, a profound shock and heartache for his family and friends. Richard is survived by his son Richard, his mother Brigitte, his sisters Michele and Ann, his brother Robert, his brother in laws Raymond and Kenneth, his nephew and niece Dereck and Chloe. Richard is preceded in death by his father, Charles.

The greatest pride and joy in Richards life was his son. He enjoyed spending time with and golfing with RC or Richie as he is known by family. For many years he coached Little League Baseball for RC’s team. He was a loving brother, always ready to lend a hand when needed. He visited his Mother daily to ensure her well being. He always tried to do things to make her life easier, such as doing repairs around the house or walking her dogs.

Richard enjoyed his job at the San Diego Unified School District as a Planner/Estimator, where he appreciated the friendship of many coworkers. He worked for the San Diego Unified School District for 27 years. He also participated in many golf tournaments. He dreamed one day of golfing at Pebble Beach Golf Course, but was happy golfing anywhere. Richard will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 on Saturday October 26th at El Cajon Mortuary.
