Patricia Lee Mummert

Patricia L Mummert, age 91, passed away on October 3, 2021, at home with her family beside her. Patty was born in Cherokee, Iowa, to Fred & Ida Witcraft and was an only child. Married Richard W. Mummert and celebrated 70 + years of marriage. Patty and Dick moved to California in 1952, where they raised two sons, Rick and Chris, in Fletcher Hills.

After raising her family, Patty came alongside Dick, helping him build the collision repair business, Marck Motors Body Shop, that's still running today on Greenfield Drive in El Cajon.

Patty had several girlfriends that were near and dear to her heart. Some going back to her elementary and high School days. Her “band of sisters” … that are all 91!

She was active in the Women’s Club of Lakeside and a loving “Grammie” to her grandchildren.

Patty is survived by: two sons, Richard "Rick" W. Mummert Jr. and Steven C. "Chris" Mummert. Four grandchildren, Matthew W. Mummert, Richard "Richie" W. Mummert III, Mackenzie Mummert Sweet, and Travis C. Mummert. One great-granddaughter, Violet.

Per her wishes, a private graveside ceremony will be held for family members.

Visitation will be held October 20th between 4-8 pm at El Cajon Mortuary.
