Patricia Amina Miller

January 28, 1927 - December 29, 2020

Patricia "Pat" Amina (Frisbee) Miller, 93, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, California. She was a resident of the El Cajon and La Mesa, California areas for 67 years.

Patricia was born on January 28, 1927 in Santa Rosa, California, the daughter of Lillie (Chester) and Edward Frisbee. She had two siblings, Bud and Robert Frisbee.

Pat graduated from Sacramento High School in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento, California. She married Ralph H. Miller, Jr. on March 1, 1947 and moved to the San Diego area in 1948.

Mrs. Miller worked in the front office of a Dental Practice prior to getting married. She also worked as an Administrator at a San Diego Trade School and later with Volunteers of America before becoming a Consultant and Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics, which she continued doing for 48 years.

Pat enjoyed painting, playing the organ, golfing, gardening, as well as playing poker, bingo, and games of chance. She also enjoyed decorating cakes and won many ribbons at the Del Mar Fair for her creations. She was an active member of the El Cajon Woman's Club and served on the Advisory board of La Mesa Assembly of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in La Mesa, California and loved spending time with the flower guild arranging flowers for the alter.

Pat and Ralph frequently attended Al Bahr Shrine events and spent many years enjoying their cabin in the Mt. Laguna Shrine Camp, as well as traveling around in their RV with their friends. She also enjoyed cruising to different ports of call with her daughter. Patricia is survived by three children, Marilyn Schaufler of San Diego, California, Wayne and wife Kathy Miller of Ramona, California, and Karen and husband Tim Davis of Yuma, Arizona; three grandchildren, Lawrence and wife Cheri Schaufler of Denver, Colorado; Brianna Davis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Courtney and husband Jonathon Steen of San Angelo, Texas; and three step-grandchildren, Ray and wife Krista, Stephanie, and John; eight step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, Donovan Schaufler, and six step-great-great-grandchildren; one nephew, David Frisbee, of Seattle, Washington and two great nieces, Traci Farero and Shanley Cross, both from Tucson, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Miller, Jr., her brothers Bud and Robert Frisbee; and her great-granddaughter, Jessica Luckenbihl.

The family of Patricia Miller respectfully suggests that donations in her memory be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church in La Mesa, California. A celebration of her life will be conducted in early summer 2021.
