
beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and devoted friend was
born in Highmore, South Dakota. She graduated her 12th year from Highmore High School
and moved to San Diego, CA. Once in San Diego she started a career at Convair and Rohr
Industries making parts for aircrafts, missiles and space shuttles working in that industry
for 31 years. Once retired from aerospace she quickly started volunteering for the El Cajon
Police Department keeping the city streets safe for 9 years.
Opal enjoyed involvement with raising her grandchildren, going to lunch with her
girlfriends, going to the casinos and listening to the police scanner. If she was called up for
jury duty she never declined, a real servant for the people.
Opal survived her parents Henry and Grace Parker, beloved husband Clint M Mulkins,
sister Pearl Cravens and stepsons Ronald and Thomas Mulkins.
Opal is survived by her sister Norma Stoley in SD, her only son Larry Johnson from El Cajon,
stepsons Robert Mulkins from San Diego, grandchildren Nicholas Johnson from TN and
Lauren Mills from FL. She also leaves behind her three beautiful great grand daughters
Amelia, Ruthie Lee and Mary Alan Johnson.
Graveside services will be at El Cajon Cemetery March 31st at 11:00am.
