2022, Colonel Eddy was a military leader and educator.
Colonel Eddy held numerous command assignments during his 31 year military career, his last
as an assistant operations officer I-MEF at Camp Pendleton. Colonel Eddy retired from the
Marine Corps Reserve in 1991 after being recalled to active duty and deployed to Operation
Desert Storm. He continued as an administrator with the Grossmont Union High School District
until 1999.
During his retirement he enjoyed staying in contact with his former Marines as well as playing
golf at Warner Hot Springs and Admiral Baker golf courses. While playing at Admiral Baker,
Colonel Eddy scored his first and only “hole in one.”
Colonel Eddy and his wife Marilu enjoyed their second home in La Paz, Mexico and they
traveled extensively in Europe and South America. Always by his side were his two beautiful
yellow labs, Scotch and Bear.
Annually Colonel Eddy joined his friends and rode with the PMP Trail Riders at the famous
Mason Valley Ranch hosted by Don Daley Jr. and his son, Don Daley III.
Colonel Eddy will be remembered for his loyalty to his friends and family and his unique ability
to mentor his fellow Marines and employees to achieve higher positions and success. He was a
man of outstanding character and leadership.
Colonel Eddy was predeceased by his son, Timothy Michael Eddy and his mother, Mildred
Delany Eddy. Survivors include his beautiful and devoted wife, Marilu, and his children, Christine
Bisera-Morales, his two sons, and grandchildren, his sister-in-law Lilia Baca, brother-in-law
Gerardo Baca, and Gerardo’s daughters, Liliann Baca and Ellie Baca.
