She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle R. Ferguson (her sailor). She was the oldest of 21 children, 13 whom lived to adulthood, 8 brothers and 4 sisters. Maudie was preceded in death by brothers Charles, Melvin, Bubba, Douglas and sister Vera. She is survived by brothers, Mike, Roger (Cindy), Thomas, Clifford (Debra) and sisters Julia, Jean (Roger) and Kathy (Dan).
Maudie is survived by two daughters, Linda Decker and Patty Baker, son in law John Baker and six grandchildren; Jason Baker (Tasha), Joshua Baker, Christopher Decker (Kari), Jennifer Philleo (Adin), Lisa Nash (Travis) and Charles Decker (Hilary). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; Ruben, Naya, Amelia (deceased), Zoë, Johnathon, Trevor, Taylor, Wyatt, Troy, Cierra, Lilith, Mackenzie, Xander and Lucas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
After a valiant battle with cancer, Maudie passed peacefully, April 4, 2017, with her family and a wonderful team of caretakers by her side.
A viewing will be held in her memory on Monday, April 10th at El Cajon Mortuary from 10:00am to Noon with a graveside service immediately following at El Cajon Cemetery.
