Born in Springfield, MO, Marilyn was the daughter of Jean Lawrence King and Rita Fern King,
She graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, MO, in 1955 and married James Walker Ralph on July 3, 1955. After her divorce she moved to San Diego in 1974 and worked as a secretary for General Dynamics Electronics and Kleinfelder Engineering from 1987-1997.
Marilyn loved classical music and played violin in various orchestras. She had a passion for the theater and was an avid reader and knitter. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mission Valley, and enjoyed many walks with Walkabout International.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers John and David, and her daughter Elizabeth "Betsy" Ralph. She is survived by her two sons, Philip and Randy Ralph and sister-in-law Lisa King.
